My style of painting harkens back to a simpler time----a time when life wasn’t so complicated and you could take each day at a slower pace.  My paintings lend themselves to the folk art style; somewhat naïve, but always colorful and fun.  I love to put lots of life in my pictures, covering the canvas with activity.  I enjoy capturing the details of a scene, whether it’s a fly-away balloon from the hands of a crying child or lovely ladies in antebellum dresses serving dinner on the grounds of a plantation home.  I am inspired by artists such as Grandma Moses, Charles Wysocki and Jane Wooster Scott, whose canvases have brought smiles to the faces of generations everywhere.
